It takes knowledge, experience and tremendous personal courage to be an effective District Court Judge. Doug Smith has 15 years on the bench and currently is the Chief Judge on our Justice Court.  He is a former prosecutor who fought to put hardened criminals behind bars and conducted more than 60 jury trials.
